Adding what the agent could not reach
Putting evidence on a case that is not onchain and no vendor sells. A finding citing your document can back a decision; a note cannot.
Some of what settles a case is not onchain and no vendor sells it: a phone call with the customer, a bank statement, an invoice, a letter from a counterparty. The agent cannot reach any of it, so you put it on the case yourself.
Do it before you decide. A finding that cites a document you uploaded is graded evidence, which means it can back an outcome; the same point made in a note cannot.
A document or a note
The difference is whether the agent may cite it.
| Use it for | The agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Attachment | Something that is evidence: a statement, an invoice, a signed letter | Reads it, and can cite it as evidence |
| Note | Context or a judgement: who you rang, what you concluded, what the next reader should know | Does not cite it |
Add an attachment
On the case, under Attachments
- 1
Drop the file onto the panel
Up to 25 MB. Uploading a file the case already holds asks you first rather than quietly adding a second copy.
- 2
Wait while Cogentic reads it
The row shows Uploading, then Processing. Failed means Cogentic could not read the file, so send a cleaner copy.
- 3
Ask the agent to run the investigation again
In the case's side panel. The agent reads what the case holds now, including your document, and reaches its recommendation again from there.
After you add one
Findings already written do not change on their own. The agent only takes your document into account on the next investigation, which is why the last step is a step rather than a suggestion.
A note needs no re-run. It is part of the case the moment you save it, and it is there for the next person to read rather than for the agent to use.
