Uploading your procedures
Your SOPs and policies go in Settings, where the agent reads them and cites the section it applied. A document it cannot find is not Live yet.
A compliance document is one of your own procedures held in Cogentic: an SOP, a policy, a jurisdiction note. The agent reads them and cites the section it applied.
Until you upload a procedure, no case can show that Cogentic followed yours.
Upload a document
Settings, then Policies
- 1
Drop the file onto the page
Uploading a document the organisation already holds asks you first rather than quietly adding a second copy.
- 2
Wait for the row to read Live
It shows Processing while Cogentic reads the document, then Publishing, then Live. Uploading is what publishes a document, so there is nothing else for you to press.
Which documents need you
Only Live means the agent can find a document. Sort by Status and anything short of it comes to the top.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Needs attention | Cogentic could not read the document | Hover the badge for the reason, then upload a replacement |
| Published | Published, but the agent cannot find it | Rename the headings and upload again. See below |
| Revision pending | Live, with a newer upload waiting | Select Publish on the row |
| Draft | Never published, and nothing will publish it on its own | Select Publish on the row |
After you upload
A document applies from the next investigation onwards. To bring an open case up to date, ask the agent in its side panel to run the investigation again, and see what a case keeps from the day it ran.
Uploading a replacement keeps the earlier versions. A case decided last year still shows the procedure that applied at the time.
