General settings

The General tab describes the organisation itself. Nothing on it changes what a case or a report says.

Open Settings, then General. Every setting on this tab describes the organisation itself: what it is called, what it is coded as, and what it looks like. None of them changes a case or a report.

The settings that do are on two other tabs. Regulatory reporting holds the entity and currency a report is filed under. Cases holds where a new case lands and the priorities it is triaged by.

SettingWhat it does
Organisation NameNames the organisation in the sidebar, the switcher and the monogram. A report falls back to this name when Reporting entity is blank, which is usually not the name your regulator holds.
Organisation CodeFixed when the organisation was created. Nobody can change it afterwards, including an owner.
LogoThe mark shown beside the organisation name. Cogentic falls back to a monogram of the name when no logo is uploaded.
Create a new organisationSets up another live or sandbox organisation with you as its owner. The row appears only for accounts allowed to create one.
