Connecting a vendor

An investigation calls the vendors you have connected and no others.

A connection is Cogentic's access to one vendor: a screening provider, a KYC provider or a chain-data provider. Every investigation calls the vendors you have connected, and no others.

A vendor you have not connected is not a silent gap. The case records that screen as unavailable rather than clean, and the agent will not recommend closing a case on it.

Which vendors need your own key

A vendor whose row offers Manage before you have connected anything runs on Cogentic's own access and is included. Every other row offers Connect, and you supply the key.

Connect a vendor

Settings, then Integrations

  1. 1

Select Connect on the vendor's row

Cogentic opens that vendor's own page, where the form lives.

  2. 2

Paste the credentials from the vendor's console

Cogentic labels each field the way that vendor does. Sumsub's form asks for an App Token and a Secret Key, the names Sumsub's own console uses.

  3. 3

    Select Connect

The row reads Connected, and investigations start calling the vendor.

After you connect a vendor

A new connection applies from the next investigation onwards. To bring an open case up to date, ask the agent in its side panel to run the investigation again, and see what a case keeps from the day it ran.

Disabling and removing a vendor

To stop calls to a vendor and keep its key, turn off Enabled under Connection on the vendor's page. To replace a key without a gap in coverage, select Rotate credentials.

You cannot remove a vendor while it is enabled. Turn it off, then select Remove integration and confirm. Cogentic deletes the key.
