Case settings

The Cases tab holds two settings: who a new case lands with, and the priorities it is triaged by.

Open Settings, then Cases. Both settings here decide what happens to a case before anybody has read it. Neither says anything about the outcome.

Default case assignee

Cogentic assigns a new case to this member once its first investigation finishes, not when the case is created. Choose No automatic assignment and cases arrive unowned, which leaves them in Alerts to review until somebody picks one up.

Priorities

The levels your team triages by. Each one carries a name, a colour and an SLA target in hours, and one of them is the default for new cases. Archive a priority and Cogentic stops offering it, while cases already carrying it keep it.
