What Cogentic is
Cogentic investigates the alerts your systems already raise and drafts the report. It raises no alerts of its own and it lodges nothing.
Cogentic takes an alert your systems already raised and investigates it. You get a case with the findings, the sources behind each one and a recommended outcome. A person decides, and a person signs.
What it does
- Investigates
On every case the agent screens the subject against the vendors you have connected, pulls counterparty attribution and exposure and resolves any customer who declared the address. It writes what it found as findings, with the sources attached.
- Works to your procedures
The agent follows the SOPs your organisation has published. It has no house method of its own.
- Recommends
A proposed outcome, its reasoning and the findings that reasoning rests on. Every finding it cites opens, so you can check each claim.
- Drafts the report
From your own template, prefilled from the case.
What it is not
- Not a screening vendor
Cogentic calls the vendors you already pay for. It holds no sanctions list and no attribution data of its own, and it raises no alerts. An alert id on a case is the vendor's.
- Not the system of record for your customers
Your own systems own that data. Cogentic stores what they push and shows who asserted it. You cannot edit it here.
- Not a filing system
Submitting a report is a state inside Cogentic. You lodge it with the regulator yourself, and Cogentic does not record whether you did.
- Not a decision maker
The agent recommends. A case closes when a person selects an outcome.
