The Today view
Where you start the day. What is waiting for you, what the organisation has not picked up yet, and what makes a case due.
Today is where you start. It answers one question: what needs you now.
Most of what it shows is your own work, which is your open cases and any report you have not submitted yet. One list is not yours. Alerts for review is the whole organisation's queue of cases nobody has picked up, and it is where your next piece of work comes from.
Good morning, Priya
You have 2 alerts to review, 1 case due today, 1 open report and 2 active cases.

YoursThe data here is invented.
The rows under Alerts for review are a sample. The count beside the heading is the whole queue.
Take a case from Alerts for review and it moves into your own list. Nobody is assigned work here, so an empty queue means the organisation is clear, not that there is nothing for you to do.
What counts as due today
A case is due today when its SLA falls inside your own calendar day, not the organisation's. Two people in different time zones can correctly disagree about whether the same case is due.
A case with no priority has no SLA. It never counts down and it is never due, so it will sit in your list indefinitely unless you give it one.
