The case plan is a checklist on every case in Cogentic. It lists the steps from triage to report and marks which ones are done.
The case plan is in beta and available to selected customers.
Every step of a case in one list
A case has work going on in several places. The agent investigates, screening results come back from your providers and suggested transfers wait for someone to review them. Before the case plan, an analyst had to keep track of all of it.
The case plan groups that work into four stages: Triage, Investigate, Decide and Report. Each task shows whether it is done, running or still to do.
Case plan
CASE-1042 · Outbound USDT to a high-risk exchange
Sent to the same exchange deposit address as the alerted transfer.
Same deposit address, two days earlier.
Funded from the wallet that sent the alerted transfer.
Updates as the case changes
Nobody ticks tasks off by hand. When the agent finishes its investigation, a KYC check comes back or a report is filed, the task is marked done.
What is left before a decision
Tasks that have to be finished before your team can decide are kept apart from tasks that only need a review. Each task links to the screen where the work is done, such as the leads to confirm or the suggested transfers.
Handing a case over
When a colleague picks up a case, the plan shows them what has been done and what is left. They don't have to read back through the case to find out.
From decision to SMR
When your team escalates a case to a SAR, the plan adds filing the SMR to the Report stage as a required step. If the case is closed as a false positive instead, the remaining tasks are set aside.
